Our Flooring Process for the Hospitality Industry

    Initial Consultation & Free Estimate

At Interior Motives Flooring, we begin the construction process by meeting with our clients at their preferred location: on-site or in our showroom. During this time, we will discuss goals, timeline, budget, and space usage. This is an excellent opportunity to discuss any industry-specific needs, such as noise control, durability, and slip resistance, among others. Once we create a plan, we can move on to the fun part: sampling and selecting your new flooring!

    Showroom Visit & Product Selection

If you haven’t had an opportunity to visit our showroom, we will invite you to explore our flooring options in person. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your vision to life and discuss various styles, materials, durability, and performance to meet your hospitality needs. We offer samples for our clients to take back to their own space, which creates the opportunity to see options in natural light and real-world conditions.

    Onsite Assessment

A crucial step is for us to assess the space and provide recommendations based on the conditions we observe. We will visit the job site to measure and evaluate the subfloor conditions, identifying any potential challenges that may arise. We can also take note of foot traffic, layout, and furniture impact to recommend the best flooring for your needs.

    Pre-Installation Coordination

Once we have decided on flooring, it’s time to prep! We will work closely with your team to prepare the space for you to get started. This usually involves moving furniture and decor, as well as clearing accessways.

Before we begin any construction, we will confirm the final material choices and timeline with our clients.

    Professional Installation

Our in-house installers will handle the entire installation process from start to finish. During the construction process, we strive to maintain a clean, organized workspace to avoid any mess or further disruptions to our clients. We will also keep you informed throughout the entire process, updating you if any complications or extensions are needed.

We understand that your business may not be able to close during construction, which is why we offer flexible scheduling to meet your needs. For an additional fee, we can conduct our construction work in the evenings or on weekends if needed.

    Final Walk-Through and Follow-Up

Once the construction process is complete, we will conduct a final walkthrough to ensure your satisfaction. During this time, we will provide care and maintenance guidance to ensure your floor remains in optimal condition for as long as possible.

We will also schedule a post-installation follow-up to ensure the flooring is performing well and answer any additional questions you may have.

Commercial Flooring for Hospitality Flooring FAQs

At Interior Motives Flooring, we recognize that every project varies in terms of size, flooring type, and industry. We are here to address any questions that may arise regarding your hospitality flooring project. Here are some of the most common questions we receive.

Hospitality flooring includes flooring that is used in various parts of the hospitality industry, such as:

    • Hotels
    • Restaurants
    • Bars
    • Lounges

This type of flooring is known to be durable and must be able to withstand a lot of foot traffic.

While this choice varies by industry and style, we recommend luxury vinyl tile or commercial-grade carpet, depending on the size of your space and your specific needs.

Flooring installation depends on several factors, including the scale of the project, the type of hospitality space, and any unforeseen issues that may arise during the construction process. Additionally, if you opt for construction to occur outside of business hours, the project may take slightly longer due to time constraints.

We promise to adhere to the schedule as much as possible, provide a clear timeline, and update our clients promptly if any delays occur.

When selecting your flooring option, we will guide you through the maintenance requirements for each choice, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your specific maintenance needs. Once the project is completed, you will also receive maintenance instructions on how to care for your new flooring to make it last as long as possible.

This varies from project to project. Carpet is typically the most affordable of our flooring styles, while hardwood is generally the most expensive. We will work with you to help you stay within your budget and achieve your flooring vision. Contact us today to get started!
