Flooring Projects We’ve Done in Tacoma
Albert in Tacoma was looking for a homier feel to the lower level of his family’s house, while still coordinating with his existing cabinets and trim. We decided that the natural warmth of engineered hardwood would be the best choice, and hickory, with its wide variety of character and colors, would work well with their existing colors.
The existing flooring in the house consisted of solid hardwood, carpet, and sheet vinyl. We tore everything out and spent time prepping the OSB subfloor. It’s important to sand down any ridges on the subfloor to make sure the new hard surface you’re installing is flat and without unwanted creeks. The new look definitely met what they were looking for!
