Flooring Projects We’ve Done in Lakeland Hills
Sometimes what tract home builders provide just isn’t good enough! In this Lakeland Hills project, we dove into a remodel immediately after the client closed on a brand-new home. The builder-grade carpet, vinyl, tile, and hardwood was torn out and replaced with wide-plank engineered hardwood throughout nearly the entire home.
Some extensive subfloor preparation was required in areas where carpet and tile were originally installed. Scraping off the texture and paint left on OSB was done in order to ensure the new hardwood would properly adhere to the subfloor. Many of the sheets of OSB had high seams, so we also had to do quite a bit of sanding in order to achieve a flat surface to install over. The hardwood selected had over 75% longboards which added to the modern look they were going for!
